What is a crypto average price calculator?

When you buy cryptocurrency in multiple purchases at different prices, your average buy price (also called cost basis) is the blended average of what you paid. This calculator works it out instantly — just enter your existing holding and any new purchases you're planning or have made.

Why does average buy price matter?

Your average buy price is the price the coin needs to reach for you to break even. Knowing it helps you understand your real profit or loss position, and whether adding to your position at the current price will improve or worsen your average.

What is averaging down?

Averaging down means buying more of a coin when its price has dropped below your current average. This reduces your average buy price, meaning you need less of a price recovery to break even or make a profit. Use this calculator to see the exact impact before you buy.
